Bailey Bravard Schroder was a four-year varsity starter and letter winner for Dowling Catholic soccer, finishing her career as the program’s all-time leading goal scorer with 68 goals. As team captain her senior year, she scored 27 goals and helped lead the Maroons to four consecutive state tournament appearances, earning two runner-up finishes and two semifinal appearances.
Her accolades include multiple First Team All-State, All-District, and All-Conference honors, four selections to the Iowa High School Soccer All-Tournament Team, and a nomination for Gatorade Player of the Year. She was also chosen as Captain of the West Team in the Iowa Senior All-Star Game and competed with both Iowa’s Olympic Development Program and the Regional ODP teams.
In addition to her athletic success, Bailey excelled academically as a National Honor Society member, Academic Letter and Aquinas Key recipient, Presidential Honor Roll student, and DCHS Leadership Representative. She was active in many extracurricular activities, including Maroon Crew, Best Buddies, intramural basketball, and coaching for Special Olympics and youth soccer.
Bailey went on to play Division I soccer at the University of Kansas before completing her degree at the University of Iowa. She began her career with Toyota Financial Services, working in New Jersey, Texas, and Georgia, and now serves on the Employee Benefits team at AssuredPartners in Iowa. She also continues to give back to DCHS as an Assistant Varsity Women’s Soccer Coach.
Bailey married her husband, Ryan Schroder, in the Dowling Catholic Chapel in June 2025. She is grateful for the lifelong friendships and memories she made at DCHS, both on and off the field. The unwavering support of the coaches, who constantly challenged everyone to strive for excellence, played a pivotal role in shaping her high school experience. The same dedicated staff and teachers who guided her through high school are now colleagues, making it a joy for her to now contribute to the same community that shaped her.
