Athletic Hall of Fame
Dowling Catholic High School proudly bestows numerous awards on St. Joseph Academy and DCHS alumni, including selection to the Athletic Hall of Fame. Induction is merited by excellence in athletics, coaching or a related area during high school and/or beyond at the college, amateur or professional level.
Athletic Hall of Fame inductees is an elite group of individuals who embody the work ethic and sportsmanship that is expected of every Dowling Catholic student, athlete, and coach. We are proud to honor their accomplishments.
History of AHOF
Since 1995, the Dowling Catholic High School Athletic Hall of Fame has recognized those who have helped make our athletic program strong. Perhaps more importantly, they give our current and future students examples to live by and an added incentive to always strive to be their best.The task of selecting inductees to the Hall of Fame is difficult indeed, given the large number of talented athletes and coaches who are nominated each year. The selection committee, comprised of both past and present alumni and staff, review the credentials of dozens of nominees each year. Selection of nominees is based on one or a combination of the following criteria:
- Excellence in DCHS/SJA Athletics
- Athletic coaching excellence at DCHS/SJA
- Excellence in athletics, coaching, or related area at the college, amateur, or professional level
