About

Dowling Catholic proudly honors deserving alumni of St. Joseph Academy and Dowling Catholic High School. Recipients are recognized annually at the Spring Scholastic Achievement Assembly, where they each have an opportunity to address the student body.

The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes alumni who embody the spirit and mission of Dowling Catholic High School. These alumni exemplify the values DCHS strives to instill in each student and personify one or more of the following: distinction in professional life, service to their community and/or inspiring others as positive role models.

The Distinguished Young Alumni Award recognizes graduates who are under 40 years of age who embody the spirit and mission of Dowling Catholic High School. These alumni have demonstrated outstanding leadership, philanthropic and/or service capabilities and orchestrated exceptional and meaningful change as leaders in their profession or community.

Any member or friend of the Dowling Catholic/St. Joseph Academy community may nominate a graduate. You must provide supporting evidence explaining why you feel the individual is deserving of the award. Any information that you can provide regarding why and how the individual has distinguished themselves will help staff in the selection process. If your nominee is selected, this information will be used in our publications.

Annual deadline for nominations is February 15th. All nominations are carried over for 3 years and reviewed annually. Nominations can be re-submitted for consideration after that time period.
