Dowling Catholic Athletics is building “Maroons at the Next Level”— a comprehensive history of former Maroons who continued their athletic careers at the collegiate or professional level. But we want this to be more than a list of names and colleges. By building this database, we hope to create a living network connecting generations of Maroon Athletics — past, present and future.

Here are just some of the ways we hope to use it:

• Connect current student-athletes with former Maroons who have played — or are currently playing — at colleges they are considering.
• Preserve AND showcase Dowling Catholic athletic history and create a permanent record of our athletes’ accomplishments beyond high school.
• Recognize and celebrate former Maroons through social media, our website, publications and Maroon at the Next Level features.
• Identify potential Athletic Hall of Fame candidates and provide valuable information for future nominations.
• Create mentorship and speaking opportunities connecting current teams and athletes with those who came before them.
• Reconnect athletic alumni with Dowling for reunions, anniversaries, special recognitions and other alumni opportunities.
• Celebrate the reach of Maroon Athletics by tracking the colleges, universities and professional organizations where our athletes have competed.
• Help tell the story of Dowling Catholic Athletics to current families, prospective families, alumni and our greater community.

Whether you played in 1945 or 2025 – for one year or 12 years – we want to document it!

Did you compete at the next level? Have a son or daughter or family member who did? Know another former Maroon who should be included? Complete the form, tag a former Maroon, or share this post to help us spread the word! Once a Maroon, Always a Maroon.
