Ashley Freerksen

2003 Graduate
Basketball, Softball
Ashley Freerksen, a 2003 graduate, was a four-year starter on the varsity basketball and softball teams at Dowling Catholic. She received all district and all state honors all four years in both sports and was the all-time leading scorer in basketball when she graduated.

She went on to play basketball at Northwest Missouri State and then DMACC where she earned All-American honors and led the team in scoring and rebounding. She finished her basketball career at the University of Nebraska in Omaha where she made the honor roll and was named new-comer of the year.

Ashley has been playing basketball for as long as she can remember. She loved competing and of course winning was never a bad thing. Most importantly, basketball taught her to never give up and to always play until the whistle is blown.
