Family connection

Family Connection is a comprehensive portal that you and your student can use to make plans about academics, colleges, and careers. In order to access Family Connection students and parents have their own individual logins. Parents should have received an email with directions to create an account and access the portal as an observer.  Students will login using their DCHS Netclassroom username and password (case sensitive).  After logging into the portal, under the My Planner Tab, is a list of tasks assigned to the students that must be completed for the year.  All tasks are required to be completed by the March 1, 2017 deadline to receive .25 credits towards graduation.  Failure to complete these tasks will affect eligibility.

CPR Requirement

The Healthy Kids Act requires that every student take a CPR course in order to graduate. There will be a few upcoming course dates at DCHS for students who have not yet fulfilled that requirement. The courses will be held after school from 3:15 to approximately 6:00 in room 303 on the following dates:

April 25th
May 2nd
May 9th
May 16th

To sign up for one of the classes, please take your $40 payment to the Business Office.  There must be a minimum of 5 students to hold a class and the maximum is 10 students per class.

Intervention

The Student Support Plan is a good-faith agreement between the school and family to support the specific needs of students to the best of the school’s ability. The Student Support Plan will specifically state the interventions and accommodations for the individual student when the student does not qualify for a 504 Plan or an IEP. Please contact Mrs. Laura Katch, Interventionist, with questions or for more information.

Dowling Catholic High School takes into account the needs of persons with a qualified disability in determining the aid, benefits or services to be provided under these programs or activities.  504 Plan
