Eric Howe

1998 Graduate
Eric excelled at baseball, basketball and football while at Dowling Catholic. He earned All Conference in all three sports, and was named 3rd team All State in football. Eric remembers the lifetime friendships and supportive community he enjoyed while a student at DCHS.

Eric was quarterback for Truman State University’s football team where he was a first team all-MIAA quarterback, and three- time all-MIAA quarterback. He finished his career as the second-most prolific passer in MIAA history with 9,097 yards. Eric set a school record career passing for yards, attempts, completions and touchdowns, as well as the Truman career total offensive yards. He was the first Truman quarterback to pass for more than 8,000 yards. He was also a finalist for the 2001 Harlan Hill Trophy, which is the NCAA Division II equivalent to the Heisman Trophy.

Eric earned a BS in Justice from Truman State University and a law degree from the University of Iowa. He is a partner with Faegre Baker Daniels in Minneapolis and prior to that worked for Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in Chicago. He and his wife, Amy, have three children, Leo, Hudson and Sawyer.
