In order to get the most out of your high school experience, take advantage of the many people, services, and resources that are available to you.

If you look around Dowling, you’ll find teachers, administrators, counselors, librarians, a nurse, tutors, and secretaries.  All of these people are here to make certain that you have the best high school experience possible.  If you have a question, concern, or problem, go to the appropriate person and talk to him/her. Spiritual help and guidance is a major focus of our school.  Theology classes, a wide assortment of retreat option and a full time campus minister are present to aid all students.

Academic help and support is available. Be pro-active! Identifying your need early and realize that asking for help is a positive move toward a solution. Contact your teacher to assess your needs and to get immediate assistance. Seminar time offers a variety of ways to get academic help. Your counselor can help you with any kind of question, difficulty, or problem. Counselors are available before and after school, during seminar time, or by appointment. Stop by the counseling center to schedule a time to meet with one.

If you are dealing with any of the following, please talk to your parents, or a counselor immediately: alcohol, drugs, a pregnancy, an abusive relationship, an eating disorder, problems at home, a health concern, a death, or depression.
