The golf outing could not be possible without countless hours put in by volunteers and generous sponsors. Two Individuals were recognized for their continuous support throughout the years; Scott McMurray and Ann Watson. Scott has been a key partner with the school staff to secure many sponsorships. We continue to appreciate his partnership with the school staff and members in the business community to communicate this event out to the public. We appreciate Scott's liaison position with members of the Coppola family to make this annual golf event successful. Ann is a school parent, committed volunteer and avid golfer, she has been a committee member of the golf event for several years. She is herself a former ISU golfer. She had the full responsibility of securing and managing over 50 volunteers the outing requires. Managing and coordinating volunteers for any special event requires a special personality and Ann Watson is just that person. Watter's Autoland was recognized as a business partner for the year-in-and-year-out support for offering a car on the HOLE IN ONE hole. This year in addition to the car, they offered an overnight stay at the Fairmont and a set of clubs to the prizes they offered. To top it off they provided a a $25 Gift card to each individual who golfed, good towards purchases made at the PGA Gift shop online. Special recognition to alumni, Todd and Thad Watters for their partnership with the school was made.
We were most grateful to the Hansen Company for their 3 year sponsorship of the golf Dinner provided to all our golfers. Last year the Hansen Company was recognized as a business partner with Dowling Catholic and the Coppola Golf Outing. We continue to say 'thanks' for them agreeing to sponsor the golf dinner. At the close of our program, Craig Faber; Vice President of Hansen Company, Inc., graciously offered to extend thier sponsorship another three years. It is this generous attitude from our sponsors that contributes to the success of this event each year. Find a complete listing of our sponsors below.

The proceeds from this outing benefit the Coppola Financial Aid Endowment Fund at Dowling Catholic High School to assist those who might not otherwise be able to attend Dowling Catholic. Thank you to all who planned and participated in this fun outing, making a difference for the Dowling Catholic students.
The late Ed and Joann Coppola began the Dowling Golf Outing in the early 1970’s as an opportunity to raise funds for the students in need of tuition assistance to enable them to attend Dowling Catholic High School.
