Criteria: The nominee for Athletic Hall of Fame experienced excellence in Dowling Catholic/St. Joseph Academy and beyone in college, amateur or professional level. In honoring coaches, there is a two-year waiting period from the time they retire from the sport he/she is being nominated for until they become eligible. For athletes there is a five-year waiting period from the date of his/her graduation. The "special" category was created to honor those who do not fall under the "coaches" or "athletes" category, but who have made significant contributions to the Dowling athletic program and serve as a positive, inspiring role model to young adults and other in the community.
Deadline for submitting nominations for the 2008 DCHS Athletic Hall of Fame is June 30, 2008.
